Theme Showcase: Long Form Article with Contents

This article exists to show how the table of contents behaves when a post has enough structure to need one.

Context

Longer posts benefit from visible structure. A reader should be able to scan the page, understand the sections, and jump to the part they need.

Setup

The example site enables table of contents support in configuration. Posts with headings can then render a contents block using the theme partial.

Content Shape

A good long-form page usually has a small introduction, several clear sections, and a conclusion that closes the loop.

Heading Depth

Third-level headings are useful for subsections, but they should not create a maze. Keep the hierarchy shallow unless the subject truly needs depth.

Examples

This section creates another top-level entry. The content itself is intentionally simple; the structure is the thing being demonstrated.

Example One

This subsection uses a short paragraph so the heading remains easy to evaluate.

Example Two

This subsection gives the contents list another target without adding unrelated complexity.

Conclusion

The table of contents should help readers navigate without making short posts feel heavy.
