Metmesh Archived
Metmesh is now archived. This was a practical decision after a period of exploration. The idea was to prototype a simple way for hobbyist stations to share astronomical and environmental data. It worked in parts, but the maintenance cost and design complexity grew faster than the useful outcomes.
Rather than carry a heavy codebase, I am rolling the lessons into smaller, modular tools that are easier to test, document, and reuse. Expect focused components that do one job well, with simple ways to connect them when needed.
If you were following or experimenting with the code:
- Watch my GitHub for new repos and small utilities that replace pieces of Metmesh.
- Keep an eye on the blog for posts that cover what worked, what did not, and how the replacements fit together.
- If you have open issues or ideas from Metmesh, feel free to raise them again when the new tools land.
Archiving is not an ending. It is a reset toward a leaner and more maintainable path.
