About

A surprised teal face with large eyes

I’m Joe, a software developer with far too many hobbies and not nearly enough time to do all of them properly.

This site is where I keep a record of the things I’m building, fixing, learning, and occasionally making harder than they needed to be. It jumps around a bit because I do. One month it might be a Raspberry Pi project, the next it might be 3D printing, Home Assistant, photography, astrophotography, or some small developer workflow that annoyed me enough to write it down.

Most posts are notes from real work rather than polished tutorials. I write about what I tried, what broke, what helped, and what I would probably do differently next time. Sometimes that means a clean technical walkthrough. Sometimes it means admitting I spent too long solving the wrong problem before finding the obvious answer.

I don’t claim to have everything figured out. That is partly the point. Writing things down gives me a trail to follow later, and it might save someone else a few hours of trial and error if they are wrestling with the same thing.

If you’ve stumbled across this corner of the internet, I hope you find something useful, or at least familiar in the slightly chaotic way side projects tend to be.
